Welcome to bed and breakfast the "Catalpa". You stay at a renovated farmhouse which holds the strong characteristics of the area where the Catalpa is situated, called the 'Betuwe'. Here you can enjoy quietness and beautiful rustic surroundings and still be only 10 minutes away (by car, bike or public transportation) from the city centre of Arnhem. The Gelredome and the Rijnhal are at walking distance. In addition, many other famous curiosities as Burgers Zoo, Park de Hoge Veluwe, The Kröller Müller Museum and the Openluchtmuseum can be reached by car within 15 minutes. The Catalpa is located near the motorway (5 minutes) and there is a busstop within 500 m. We have several animals living with us at our farmhouse, including a dog, several new forest ponies (and foals in spring and summer), a goat and chicken.
The Catalpa consists of two rooms, which were both newly decorated in the spring of 2005. Both rooms are connected to the joint kitchen where the breakfast is served. The bathroom and toilet are separately reachable and are only destined for the guests. The bathroom is equipped with a shower and a handbasin. Both rooms have an own entrance and key, are located at ground level and adjoin a garden patio. Linnen, towels and bathtowels are present. Sufficient parking space is available at our own terrain (no charges). Check in time 15:00 (3 pm), check out time 11:00 (11 am).
